About

The three weeks spent touring Hong Kong and Japan was no doubt a great adventure for Ron and I. Ron loves traveling and Louis loves Asia. There were of course some mishaps and stories to tell. But if we don’t write them down someplace they’ll probably get forgotten. Memories are so precious and fleeting. I don’t want to lose even one of them during this trip.
I wanted to put this blog together so that family and friends can share in our adventure while it happens. I doing my best to document our progress each and every day of the trip. I want to keep this diary of the trip so that months from now we can look back on it and remember what we were feeling and experiencing during each step.
Almost every hotel we stayed at provided Internet access. At the Ryukan (Japanese B&B) in Hakone there wasn’t any thankfully. That was our day to relax and forget our cares. But in the rest of Japan I got spoiled with 100 Megabit bandwidth. So with my trusty tablet computer and all manner of camera gear, each night tired to chronicle what we did that day. Along with what you’ll see in this blog, I’ll be posting more photos of the trip on Flickr.
Of course, there is someone who wasn’t too happy about the trip…

Jarray, (Miss Pei as we call her) does not like it when the big luggages comes out of storage. But rest assured that Jarra had her own personal assistant tending to her every need. (See the Dog Sitter posting for details.)
As you read the blog keep in mind that it is in reverse chronological order. The postings on the first page are the most recent ones. I’m still filling-in the gaps to complete documentation of the whole trip. If you want to go to the beginning click the Previous Entries link to go back in time.
Let me know what you think! Comments are welcome.
